I led the scientific evaluation of the sustainability of capture fisheries and aquaculture operations of importance to the US market.
I managed four teams of research managers and scientists who coordinated the production of seafood reports containing recommendations: "Best Choices," "Good Alternatives," and seafood you should "Avoid."
I collaborated with external colleagues on a wide range of sustainability initiatives, including seafood eco-certifications and Fishery Improvement Programs (FIPs) and acted as spokesperson for the Monterey Bay Aquarium on the science and policy of sustainable seafood.
